Engagement Models
Engagement Models
KAMC offers two primary engagement structures — designed to give MSME clients the flexibility to choose the model that best fits their need, cash flow, and the nature of the work required. Both models are outcome-focused, not time-billed.
Model A: Project-Based Engagement
Best For: Defined problems with a clear scope and measurable outcome.
A Project-Based engagement is a fixed-scope, fixed-outcome consulting assignment. KAMC and the client agree upfront on the specific deliverable, the timeline, and the success criteria. Payment is structured around milestones, not monthly retainers.
This model is ideal when the client has a specific problem to solve — launching a CRM, redesigning the appraisal system, producing a 3-year growth strategy, executing a financial audit, or implementing an ERP.
Project-Based Engagement Structure:
- Week 1–2: Diagnostic phase — structured assessment, stakeholder interviews, data review
- Week 2–3: Deliverable design — recommendations, frameworks, implementation plan
- Week 3 onwards: Implementation phase — hands-on execution, training, and rollout
- Final phase: Stabilisation, review, and handover — with documented systems and trained team

Pricing Structure:
Project-Based engagements are priced on a fixed-fee basis, agreed upfront based on scope. Payment is milestone-linked: typically 30% at engagement start, 40% at mid-point delivery, and 30% at final handover and sign-off. No hidden charges. No scope creep without agreed change orders.
Model A: Project-Based Engagement
Best For: Ongoing advisory, multi-function transformation, or sustained implementation support.
A Retainership engagement is a structured ongoing consulting relationship where KAMC provides dedicated consultant access, regular engagement touchpoints, and continuous advisory across one or more practice areas — over a defined period.
This model is ideal for businesses undergoing broader transformation across multiple functions, founders who want a trusted strategic advisor on call, or organisations that need ongoing HR, sales coaching, or technology support as they scale.
What a Retainership Includes:
- Dedicated KAMC consultant(s) assigned to the engagement
- Agreed number of monthly on-site days (typically 4–8 days per month)
- Unlimited advisory calls and WhatsApp support within engagement scope
- Monthly review meetings with leadership — progress, blockers, next steps
- Access to KAMC templates, toolkits, and frameworks across all practice areas
- Priority access to specialist associates (Ankit Sharma for logistics, PBP team for hiring)
- Quarterly strategic review and roadmap update
Retainership Tiers:
Tier | Scope | Engagement Level | Duration |
Advisory | 1 practice area | 2–4 on-site days/month + advisory calls | 3 months minimum |
Growth Partner | 2–3 practice areas | 4–6 on-site days/month + priority support | 6 months minimum |
Transformation Partner | Full-org (all 7 practices) | 6–10 on-site days/month + embedded support | 12 months minimum |
Note: All retainership engagements begin with a 2-week paid diagnostic phase to ensure scope alignment and set measurable success criteria before the main engagement begins.
